Afghan Girls back to School in Herat after Taliban Take Over

Female students have started coming to their schools in western Afghan city without restrictions after the Taliban’s takeover. They are wearing their white and black dress. Students were also a part of the discussion related to what happened in the last two weeks. One of the students stated that “We as well want progress in our country like others, we hope Taliban will maintain security. We want peace in our country, not war”.

The media had converged scenes of people being afraid and leaving home when the Taliban replaced the local army and state. At first, it seems like the Taliban’s control will be banished. They have closed the Herat’s road attached to the border as it used to be an international exception for years.
